The Original Sound – Track Battle (the “Track Battle”) is sponsored by the producers of the film Original Sound and by Alto Music (the “Sponsors”). Win Swag from the Movie and Microphones from Alto Music.

By entering the Track Battle, participants agree to be bound by these Official Rules.

1. Track Battle Description

In the film Original Sound, musician Danny Solis creates some banging beats for pop-star Ryan Reed. Here they are:

Beat #1: Kirby
Beat #2: Night Food
Beat #3: Light Sun

Think you can turn one of them into a killer track?

Participants are invited to download one of the beats from the film and transform it into an original track.

Participants must incorporate one of the provided beats into a new, original musical track.

2. Eligibility

The Track Battle is open only to legal residents of the United States who are 18 years of age or older at the time of entry.Employees, contractors and/or immediate family members of the Sponsor are not eligible to participate.

Void where prohibited by law.

3. Track Battle Period

TheTrack Battle begins on April 14, 2026 when beats become available on Original Sound’s website and the Track Battle is announced on film’s social channels.  (“Track Battle Start Date”).

Entries must be received no later than 11:59 PM ET on May 15, 2026, (the “Track Battle End Date”). Entries received after the Track Battle End Date will not be eligible.

Winners will be announced no later than June 15, 2026.

4. How to Enter

To enter:

1. Download one of the official beats provided on Original Sound’s website.
   

2. Create an original track incorporating the provided beat.
   

3. Submitted tracks must be at least 60 seconds in length.
   

4. Entries must be submitted in MP3 or WAV audio format.
   

5. Submit your track through the official submission portal on Original Sound’s website.
   

Entries must:

• Include at least one of the provided beats

• Be primarily original work created by the entrant

• Not infringe upon any third-party rights

• Entries may not contain AI-generated music. Entries may not contain samples, loops or other copyrighted material that the entrant does not have permission to use.

Entrants may add additional musical elements, including:

• instrumentation

• vocals

• sound design

• additional production elements

Sponsors reserve the right to disqualify any entry that does not clearly incorporate the provided beat.Multiple entries are permitted; however, each submission must be a unique track.

5. Judging Criteria

Eligible entries will be judged based on the following criteria:

• Creativity & originality – 50%

• Musical quality, craftsmanship, and production quality – 30%

• Fit with the musical taste and spirit of the film Original Sound – 10%

• Effective use of the provided beat – 10%

Entries will be reviewed by a judging panel selected by the Sponsors.

Entries may not contain AI generated music, or other copyrighted material that the entrant does not have permission to use. 

All judging decisions are final.

6. Winners & Prizes

1. Grand Prize - Swag Bag of Movie Merch, including the Original Sound vinyl soundtrack, three mics (Avantone CK6, Golden Age D2 Mk2, and Golden Age FC1) provided by Alto Music, plus bragging rights and a free 30-minute consultation on Zoom with veteran music producers Erik Blicker & Glenn Schloss at Flavorlab.
   

2. Ryan Reed’s Favorite Track – Swag Bag of Movie Merch, including the Original Sound vinyl soundtrack, plus bragging rights and a free 30-minute consultation on Zoom with veteran indie film producers Julie Crosby and David Youse at Cromono International.
   

3. A Fan Favorite Track may also be selected based on audience engagement or public voting, as determined by the Sponsors in its sole discretion. The prize is a Swag Bag.

Sponsors reserve the right to determine the voting method and final selection.Approximate retail value of all prizes is estimated to be under $600 USD.By accepting a prize, winners grant Sponsors permission to use their name, likeness, and entry for promotional purposes without additional compensation, unless prohibited by law.Sponsors reserve the right not to award a prize if, in its sole discretion, insufficient eligible entries are received.

7. Rights to Submitted Content

By submitting an entry, entrants grant the Sponsors a non-exclusive, worldwide, perpetual, royalty-free license to:

• share

• repost

• promote

• display

the submitted track in connection with promotion of:

• the film Original Sound

• the film’s soundtrack

• the Track Battle itself.

Entrants retain ownership of their original contributions.

Sponsors reserve the right to feature selected entries across promotional channels in connection with promotion of the film Original Sound, its soundtrack, the Track Battle, and related marketing, advertising, publicity, and social media promotion.Sponsors may edit, excerpt, or combine submissions for promotional purposes.

By submitting an entry, participants represent and warrant that the submitted work is their original, human creation and does not infringe the rights of any third party.

8. Winner Notification

Potential winners will be notified using the contact information provided at submission.

If a selected winner cannot be contacted within five (5) days, Sponsors reserve the right to select an alternate winner.Winners will be announced no later than June 15, 2026.

9. General Conditions

Sponsors reserve the right to cancel, suspend, or modify the Track Battle if necessary due to technical issues, fraud, force majeure events, or other circumstances beyond Sponsors’s reasonable control.

Sponsors reserve the right to disqualify any participant who violates these Official Rules or engages in conduct that is unlawful, harmful, or inconsistent with the spirit of the Track Battle.

10. Platform Disclaimer

This Track Battle is not sponsored, endorsed, administered by, or associated with Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, or any other social media platform used to promote the Track Battle.

11. Limitation of Liability

By participating in the Track Battle, entrants agree to release and hold harmless the Sponsors and its affiliates, partners, employees, and agents from any liability, injury, loss, or damage arising from participation in the Track Battle or acceptance or use of any prize.

12. Technical Failures

Sponsors are not responsible for lost, late, incomplete, misdirected, or corrupted entries, or for technical failures of any kind, including but not limited to website malfunctions, internet outages, or upload errors.

13. Dispute Resolution

Except where prohibited by law, entrants agree that any and all disputes, claims, and causes of action arising out of or connected with the Track Battle or any prize awarded shall be resolved individually, without resort to any form of class action.

14. Governing Law

The Track Battle and these Official Rules are governed by the laws of the State of New York, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
